Default Headlight out....

Last night when I got off work, I went out and started my bike.... While doing so, I noted that it was rather dark in front of the bike... The headlight was out... Since it was dark, and I had no tools of any kind (not making that mistake again), I couldn't do anything about it at the time.... Today, I get up and check the fuses, they're fine... Took out the headlight, and it looked fine, but I went and bought a new one and tried it, but it didn't work either... I noted that the top (middle) prong socket on the plug had a dark spot, as if there was a short, in it...

It had been rained on while I was going into work, and then while I was at work for a bit...

Anyone know if I can just replace the wire if I find it to be shorted, or if I need to replace an entire harness???

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Dave

Eph1zzle, thanks for the info... Finally got a chance to check things.... Yes, it was a bad solder.... Re-attached it, and all is good now... Man, this forum rocks.
