Wasting some time reading through the forums today i noticed there are countless threads (not all) where someone has a bike problem, recieves lots of help with varied possible fixes and then........ the op never comes back and finishes the thread by saying what worked and how they fixed it. Either there are a lot of unfixed bikes out there or we are missing out on some very useful information. Anyone else agree?

Yeah, it's unfortunate but it happens quite a bit.

We get tons of new members every month. Ya throw 'em all on the board and the good ones stick ... the others slide off into internet oblivion. It is the nature of the net ...

And while I agree it'd be nice if the sliders would at least post up a "thanks, that worked" or the like, what ya gonna do?
