Default i've noticed....

i thought it was only me, but the phrase "winter mods" seems to be something that everyone does on this forum. since i hear of everyone doing something to there bike i was just curious to hear what everyone has done in the past 3-6 months (depending on where you live) : D i live in georgia so i stopped riding in november and i could have been back on my bike in january, but i went a little over board with the mods so im still piecing my bike back together. but enough chit chat, lets get down to business.

so far this winter i have done what seems like a decent amount on my 97 f3.

i installed a hid kit
rim tape
new spark plugs
new chain and sprockets
new tires
new fuel pump
new fuel filter
new r/r
replaced all the smaller air filters
thuroughly cleaned my carbs
installed a fancy trunk kit
custom made fender eliminator
made my own integrated tailight
and now im just waiting on my new fairings to come in and i will be ready to ride!!!

ill have pictures in a week or so. depending on how easily these fairings go on.

Maybe those two little air filters under the two screwed in panels in the airbox? I just found them the other day...no clue where to buy them either cause mine were destroyed.

you know when you remove your gas tank and you have gas and air hoses that go to your carbs. you have the small black triangle shaped things between air hoses that run from underneath your headlight to your carbs. mine were full of crap and the spongy filter was solid, restricting air flow. the hoses are just for low rpms so it doesnt affect much, but they were only like $3 dollars a piece.

that is for 99-00 f4... this is the f3 section. the f3 was the last carbureted bike by honda i believe. so the air intake setup is a bit different.
