If it's stock it will most likely run best on 86 octane. It doesnt have a high enough CR to warrant anything higher. You're just wasting your money.

I run 92 in my 94 F2. As far as brand it veries due to the fact that I am in the middle of no where. Alamogordo, NM the home of absolutely nothing. [sm=exactly.gif][sm=usa.gif]

CR..Compression Ratio. An aluminum headed vehicle can take a much higher CR before it detonates with a certain octane. It is because it dissapates heat MUCH faster than a cast iron headed vehicle. Your motorcycle being all aluminum can have a very high compression ratio and get by with lower octane because of how fast it dissapates heat sooooo much faster. 9.5 to 1 compression ratio in a traditional muscle car with cast iron heads is about as far as you can go with pump gas(being 93 octane). You can go about a full point of CR with aluminum heads and get by with the same octane. A motorcycle engine being completely aluminum will dissapate heat so fast that you can run around 11.5 to 1 CR and get by on pump gas. There, a quickie on CR and octane and why you need what you need. Use 87 and it will run better.
To expand upon this, a given octane requires a certain amount of CR to burn completely. You want to run the lowest octane you can get away with before detonation to ensure a clean, full burn in the combustion chamber. If you are running 93, you arent buring it all and essentially wasting your money for the higher octane fuel.
Hope this helps. It would require around 12.0 to 1 with an all aluminum engine before 93 is required, even then you can probably get away with up to 13.0 to 1 on pump gas before detonation.

Then timing also comes into play, but that's another post.
Good luck.
