Default Gas tank

Hey guys and girls, I cant seem to put my gas tank back together. Here are some pictures. Let me know if theres a part thats missing. It just wont screw back on. Thanks.

The thing the arrow is pointing to should be flush with the threads of the tank. Or at least thats what I think the issue is. Somebody else will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not positive but I think your filter tube is upside down? the base should be on the petcock and the tube protrudes into the tank.

yeah the tube is on the petcock. It just leaves like an 8th of an inch of space and it wont screw on. As if something on the inside of the tank was blocking the tube from inserting some more.

Nevermind. After having someone push down on the tank it finally screwed on. thanks yall.
