i went to start the cbr the other day and opened up my shed and it was filled with the smell of gas. i noticed it looked like the gas was leaking from where the header meets the tail pipe. couldn't find any leaks from anywhere else. I started it up to see if it would and it blew gas at the tailpipe. anyone know what could cause this? Is it an expensive fix?

 

Your bike is either running insanely rich, or you have an exhaust valve sticking open somehow... Those are the only reasons I can see for fuel to be leaving the exhaust in large amounts.

 

was it leaking from there or dripping down on top of the exhaust?
