Default front sprocket install

Hey I'm about to switch out the front sprocket with a 14 tooth bit but my question is what size is the drive shaft nut. What tools are needed to make this install pretty easy, such as what size socket?? Thanks

I can't remember the nut size, probably a 17mm, but you will want an impact wrench.

Ha well I got it off but apparently the guy I bought it from already had a 14 tooth sprocket on it. Looks like a 520 chain. Anyone wanna buy a 14 tooth front sprocket for a 530 chain lol

easy on those sprocket cover bolts! Don't overtighten. I hope you have a torque-wrench. The cover bolts are 8mm. I think the sprocket bolt was 15mm? The torque spec is 55N.m / 5.5 kg.m / 40 ft-lb.

I didn't need an impact wrench to get my old one off.

Also, always change your sprockets and chain together. Old sprockets will slaughter new chains, and old chains will slaughter new sprockets. Complete waste of money. Unless you're one of those select few who watch their chains and sprockets EXTREMELY meticulously and know for 100% certain that the part isn't worn too much.
