Default Front lift stands with F2

I just purchased a triple-tree lift style front stand for my F2 from lockhart pihlips and I noticed that it really doesn't lift the bike up much at all. Maybe 1" at the most. I'm also hesitant to use the stand when the front fairing is on the bike since the stand "arm" seems to interfere...

I was wondering if that's typical with front lifts and F2's? Is there one that works better than the others? I've read that "bike tek" was okay, anyone else have any similar experiences with these stands?

I've got a biketek - not sure how far it lifts the tire off the ground - but apparently it was enough LOL :

So both front lift style stands clear the fairings of the F2 okay?

and andrenalnjunky: lol, nice. Yeah I had to fidget with the front fender just to get my front wheel off.

It looks like you streetfightered your bike, so i'm guessing you've never tried the biketek with a bike with full front fairings?

I have Lp stands, the same as yours. I use them all the time without any problems or concerns.

No fairing interference.

Question - I think this might be your problem - if this is your LP stand - it looks 100% identical to my Biketek (Like made in the same factory identical):

When you ordered it - did it come with a 24mm pin for going into the steer tube? I had to buy the 24mm separate to fit the CBR600.

If you're using a smaller pin - it is probably inserting too far up into the steer tube, which is causing your lift issues and the fairing interference. With the correct pin used, you see space between the stand's upper tube and the bottom of the triple - I'm betting yours is sitting on top of the upper tube the pin inserts thru.

Thanks for the pics guys... I believe I am using a 22mm pin, so maybe this is the cause of my issues. I've attached some photos of the stand I'm using, and pictures of how they fit on the bike.

Here's the stand by itself:

Here's the stand installed under the triple tree (from front):

Here's the stand installed under the triple tree (front side):

Here's the amount of clearance I have underneath the front tire:

It's obvious that the 22mm pin doesn't fit perfectly... but I can't seem to find 24mm pins available from LP either... DOH!

But I wonder if the biketek stand is just taller to begin with, the bottom "arm" that's sticking upright seems a lot taller than the "arm" on my stand. hmmmm.

ok - so that stand is different - but the overall height looks about the same - mine only barely clears the top of the fender when rolling it into position.

I'll lift mine back up tonight and measure from the ground to the top of the supporting arm, and get a pic of how low the triple sets down on the pin.
