Default Front Brake Shims

sorry guys, i don't actually own a CBR but my honda hawk has an F2 front end. When installing the front rotors I encountered allignment problems. According to the schematic there is a shim between the disk and fork (actually 1 for each mounting bolt) one of these shims was not enough to line things up correctly. Is there any reason i cant stack these shims and is that the correct way to fix this problem. thanks for any input

I started with a full CBR front end, I used the forktubes, upper triple, disks, calipers, and wheel. The only hawk parts are the lower tripple (width was the same, and it seemed neccessary to get it to fit correctly against the head tube) and the hawk clip-ons, neither of which seem to differ enough from the cbr to affect allignment.

Sounds like something's bent.Tubes or lower triple maybe.Make sure the bottom of the lower triple is flat.

This is like giving /getting a haircut over the phone .

first off, thanks for your input, I determined as best I could that everything is straight, the caliper mounting bracket is the only thing i think could be bent, if that isnt the case how bad is it to stack a few shims to line everything up, or washers at the caliper would do the same thing, are either of these options safe (relatively)or effective
