fork springs
hey does anyone out there know what a good spring rate grams/millimetter of compression for me 170 lbs i have seen .08-.10 grams per mm hit me back if you know what is the best and possibly a good company too...
I bought some Race Tech springs shortly after buying my bike. I think I settled on .85kg and I'm about 185. If you go to http://www.racetech.com/evalving/menu/searchstreet.asp they've got all the information you'll need to get the right spring rates for you and your riding style.
I can't really compare them to stock springs, at least reliably, because the fork seals were starting to go when I bought my bike. The front end was really spongy until I replaced the seals and springs. I think that site shows the stock springs are rated for someone ~130 lbs.
Personally, I would stick with their recommendations. I've taken my bike to the track and felt it was spot on. I think you can call them too and get some recommendations if you like.
