I run 180s all day. Not for looks or performance, but only because they are free lol I will never buy a new tire for my ****box.. and yes it does butcher the profile abit, even to the point that you could really tell a width diff between the 160 and the 180...

So some guy you don't know asks you how to make home made dynamite, you tell him I suppose? No questions asked? lol...

Has nothing to do with superiority of any kind. It is the responsibility of more knowledgeable people to pass on potentially dangerous information to those who may not be aware of it.

Just put a 170 rear on mine, but no rear hugger, fits perfect and looks better.

Absolutably no ill affects on the handling, its not dangerous, im not an irresponsible rider.............

Dissevered... answer me this. I'm an irresponsible rider because I have a 180 on my f2 with stock rim? you're a jackass. Also youire bike must be making terrible power because I can crack my 180 loose...

To actually answer the OPs question a 180 IS THE BIGGEST IT WILL FIT. Although a 160 is stock size and nothing is wrong with that. I ahve not noticed any performance gains or losses with a 180 and also very minimal sidewall deformation. I can lean my bike as hard and low as any of my buddies who have stock sizes and aftermarket sizes.

So to settle all of this crap use anything between 160-180. a 180 will not help you balance or anything but it gives the bike a mean look. A 160 is the correct and recomended tire for the bike and a 170 really isnt that much of a difference. Pick a good tire that suits you and I'm sure you'll be safe and happy.

I'm not trying to argue with you, but there is alot of deformation of the tire profile if you fit a 180 on a wheel made for a 160. now you might not feel it or notice, but ask the pro's and they will tell you there is.

And your comment about dudes bike not making power to break the tire loose. I have a F4 that has more power than a F2 and I dont break my rear loose either. Its called control and good tires

First off, I never said anyone who rides with a 180 on a 160 rim is irresponsible. I am only dishing out the information that comes along with said change to your bike. It is however irresponsible to tell people how to screw up their bike and not warn them of the consequences.

And thank you, you just proved my point... You can lose your 180 because it has LESS contact patch than a 160, this is what I have been saying. That and like playful god said, you probably lack control.

For 1 playful god were talking a aboput f2s, f4s are different animals.
For 2 dissevered if you go back a page you did say peoepl who run larger tires are irresponsible.
For 3 I run a continental contisport, best tire? maybe not but it was free. I can stand my F2 up in third gear and crack the tire loose IF desired, it doesnt just whip out from under me.

The ops question was whats the biggest he can go. I answered. A 180 is the biggest you can go wrong right or indifferent. Theres 5 thousand posts about putting 180s on f2 rims.
