I might be missing 6th gear in my bike, but for it being 17 years old I don't find that to hard to believe. Can some one tell me the MPH they are running and RPM's so I have an idea?

It seems to me it sometimes goes in, but I just got the bike yesterday. I am going to go back to reading everything again. Thanks

 

just count the shifts....LOL

 

I get it up to 5th gear and then sometimes it feels like it goes in to 6th and the rpm's drop but it still seems to rev higher then I think it should...?

 

[align=left]Check if there is washer between the rearset and shifter. That may be the problem that it doesn't want to go to six. I had the same problem when i didn't have a washer there

Just checking the obvious...you do know it's one down and five up right?

 

Looks like there is one there but should I add another? Or is that just part of the rearset?

 

Ya I know its 5 up. and the picture is to big for this site I guess??
Should I put a washer in and see if it's easier to shift to 6th?
