Not enough power difference between the F2 and F3 600cc engine to justify $500.00.

Not sure, but the CDI box may not allow it to work depending on the sensors and how they read. Also the speedos are different so you will lose functionality unless you also get the F3 harness and dash. I'm with FNQuick in saying $500 isn't worth it.

Oh, if you really want to spend that $500, do it on shock upgrades, tires, and a chain conversion to lighten the bike up. those would be worth more than a few hp and all that work replacing an engine.

Nope.

My F2/3 hybrid racebike has an F3 motor carbs and airbox. It runs on F2 coils, harness and CDI.

The F3 motor will go right in.You will lose the speedo function though.

The conrods on the F3 are beefier,as are the crank journals. The tranny's synchro is nicer, especially when you are going through the gears fast.F3 motor is worth it,IMO. I'm thinking of putting one in my streetbike.

Im with bindelsf2 on this one...im planning on doing the 900 swap....the price difference between the motors is practically nothing if you shop around...maybe even less, not only that but its by far the biggest power upgrade you can do for an f2. Like bindel said he has a couple write ups and I beleive rsp919 has one or two as well. The difference in work between the swaps is hardly anything as well.

f2 speedo is run off the front wheel so why would you lose it just leave the f3 speed sensor unplugged
