Default Dead battery?

I was just outside checking my bike, and wanted to start it up. The battery has been outside for some weeks in under -20 degrees celsius (-4 F ). I took in in and let it charge for a day. After 24 hours i saw the charger still stood at 1 ampere, and i let it stay for another two days. The needle still was at 1 Ampere. Weird.

I put the battery in the bike and tried to start it, but it would start. The starter runs, but the bike wont fire. Just some small signs of sparks sometimes.

Isnt the battery providing enough current so the starter can run fast enough? I compared my starter-sound to others on youtube, and they seems to run much faster.

I've added a soundclip of my startersound in this post so you can hear yourself.

Do i need a new battery? If so, i should keep it inside until its not snow outside anymore

EDIT: you need to open the file in VLC media player, its a .m4a file from my iphone.

Battery is prolly completely dead. These aren't car batteries and can't take those temps for long. Also, you should have left the battery inside the house overnight before putting it on the charger. A cold battery won't take a charge and it could have damaged the cells.

Does jump starting your bike work? A lot of people for some reason don't know that you can jumpstart a bike using a car no-problemo!

Have the battery checked before replacing it. You can jump start from a car, but DO NOT start the car. The excessive amps, when the vehicle is running, is what kills the bikes electrical systems. Most bike shops should be able to test the battery for you for free.

Yea, i can test my battery myself, but to test it correct it needs to be tested while its getting a load. Ill check it tomorrow, if the voltage sinks when i try to spin the starter. Ill see if i can find any jumpercables aswell.

If i start the bike when its cold, do i need to let it run so it gets hot, to not **** the sparkplugs, right?

EDIT: By cold i mean like 23 F* its snow and **** here
