Drove bike for around 20 miles. It sometimes studders and seems like it wants to die but i think its the just the carbs needing to be synced from me dicking with it. Does that sound like my prob?

Not the expert but I doubt it. If the carbs were seriously out of sync, it'd show in the idle I think. Did you adjust the jets after you got done cleaning the carbs?

Pretty sure the only jet I have to adjust is the pilot jet which is the D shaped correct??? 2 1/8th turns out.

Well since I'm not the expert, I go by the repair manual for my bike. And adjusting the pilot jets on the carb is a little more involved than that by the book

Seriously tho. If you took ridinthabay's advice (which I am with my cleaning) nothing should be that seriously out of whack. Question: when you cleaned your carbs, just how far apart did you disassemble them?

It wouldn't idle great with a poor sync but still, it never hurts to get it done.

If you have a K&N you should have many adjustable jets... pilots, needles and mains, if you don't, there is 1 problem already and I would go buy either a jet kit or a stock air filter.

Well I was thinking 2 things depending on what he did during cleaning
If he mixed the main jets would it give him a problem like this? Factory mains are 145k on 1 & 4, 142k on 2 & 3. Dunno if that makes any real difference

And if he separated the carbs, might have gotten something wrong on 3 & 4 since thats where his problem seems to be isolated

I never heard anything about different jets on different carbs, how sure are you on this? I can't see why 1 cylinder would get more fuel than another.

Positive. Read the #s off the main jets on mine. Each was printed with 'FACTORY' followed by one of the 2 #s I gave.

My bike is still acting up around 5k RPM. Fighting to maintain current speed with jerks of acceleration to do so. I'm thinking it could be the fuel cutoff relay. Someone said they bypassed theirs but not how. Need to find out
