Default Charging problem - need help!

Okay guys, I'm freakin' frustrated at this point and need your help. A long story short, I recently replaced my old stator on my '93 F2 because two of the wires were melted and completely severed. I put in the new stator and ran a few tests with the volt meter to see if everything is okay. Here's what I got:

Battery not hooked up = around 13.2 volts.
Battery hooked up w/ engine idling = 14.6 volts.
Rev'd the engine and the volts dropped. This is the part I can't figure out. Theoretically, the volts should go up with the engine rev'd because the alternator should be kicking in some electricity. Before you tell me that it's the rectifier/regulator, I had it tested at a Honda dealership and the guy told me that it's working fine. So, what do you think is wrong with my charging system. Any help is appreciated!

Honda guys told me my charging problem had to be either:

wiring harness, battery, stator, or regulator/rectifier

somewhere in there is your problem

see other charging subject in forum

OUTPUT TEST
connect multi meter set to 0-20 volts across battery
Start engine allow to idle
slowly increase RPM to 5000
Volts should read 13v - 15.5v anything higher is definatly a rectifier/ regulator fault

LEAKAGE TEST
switch Ignition off
Disconnect negative wire from battery -
Connect multimeter set to mA (milli Amps) Between battery Neg - terminal & cable
the reading should not exceed 1.2mA DO NOT START THE ENGINE!!!!!!!!!!!
if the reading is below 1.2mA leakage rate is satisfactory.
Anything higher it's likely there's a short circuit in the wiring somewhere

when i get some more time i'll post the check for the
ALTERNATOR STATOR COILS
and
REGULATOR / RECTIFIER UNIT

I had same thing, revvs at 14 at idle and 13.5 at 5000rpm. Switched the wires going into plastic connector. Works now..

Must do short posts or won't allow me. Server f*cked. Check the plastic piece connecting the wires from your stator to your RR. Mine was fried, replaced, got messed up reading. Switched wires a few times. Fixed - 12.6 at idle, 13.5 at revv...

12.6 at idle isn't charging that battery at all. Fully charged battery on our bikes should be putting out 12.8 volts by itself.

Today I found the solution to this problem!!!! Woohoo!! Like I said, I was also getting the 14volts at idle and 13.5 at revv. I couldnt figure it out. Then I adjusted the idle lower, like juuuuust over 1 and a half. And all the numbers went back to normal. Presto! Also, my batt was low from the testing, its back over 12.8 now..
