do i need to oil up the cct bold before i install it?? and i should be able to re-use my gasket correct?

The metal gasket should be reusable.

Just in case you do go with a stock hydrolic (automatic) CCT, don't forget to prime it first. Submerge it fully in clean motor oil and pump it a couple of times to fill it up before installing it.
