Bringing her out of hibernation... What should I do?
My f2 has been sitting in a garage about an hour away from me all winter. I am going to get it sometime this week. This is my first bike and I only was able to ride it for 3 months before I had to put it away. My questions are the following...
What are the first steps I should take when I go get the bike. Will It be fine to just start up and ride home right away or do I need to do some stuff to it first.
When I get it back what maintainance should I do?
Anything else?
Thanks

Charge the battery, check your tire pressure, ensure everything is secure and tight. If you didn't change the oil before you stored it, do that (filter too!) If you didn't store it with fuel stabilizer, you might need a carb cleaning before it runs well. See if running a tank or two of fresh fuel with carb/injector cleaner helps any. I'm sure I'm missing things, but that should get you started.
Edit: Maybe give her a wash/wax/polish, and lube up the chain? Also check chain tension.
