Default Brake Pad?

I bought a set of Dunlopad Racing front brake pads, and one of the pads says to put this one particular pad on the piston side. Why? Does it have some type of insulation to keep from over heating the piston seals or some thing. Ive installed stock Honda pads last year and Ferodo pads this year and neither one had this specific instructions. I also measured the pads and they are the same thickness.

Well I remeasured and the one that goes on the piston side is about .010 thicker.
