I'm interested to see how this turns out. The broken piece probably did not break off nice and clean, so I don't know what type of body repair skills they expect someone to have to fix it to where it looks perfect, like you'd expect when you buy something brand new.
Anyway, I've read other stories where a company sent an entire replacement fairing for the one that was damaged. I guess that's not the case with these guys.
Post some pics of the finished results, if you don't mind.

It will not look great, that is for sure......but ill survive. Still will look a whole lot better than my crunched up stock fairings.
I have built up the missing corner with carbon fiber and epoxy as a base to put on the plastic padding.
Im sure I can get the shape right and it will look good, but the paint job afterwards will never be perfect, as I do not have the skill it takes to match and blend paint and clear coate perfectly....but I will do my best, and we shall see how it turns out :-)
If it for some reason looks like crap, ill see what is in the "repair kit" from china whan it arrives.
I also could cut the corner from my old original fairing and use it.
Another little fault is that they forgot to do the cutout for the rear handle grip. on one side. Not a big deal, as the rubber gromets will hide any chiped pait from the edges if you are unlucky to damage it.

I've had mine on for a season and a half. For the price you can't beat it. The paint and such has held up well. They do require much modification to get then to fit decent. Plan on a weekend and make sure you have your dremel ready. I've heard of people getting lucky with good fit but not many. They haven't held strength wise that well. I've had to use some plastic epoxy behind some of the bolt holes and redrilled the hole through it. Also after the fourth or fifth time of my rears almost falling off when I hit a good bump because the tabs suck, I finally broke down and drilled holes and zip tied them. You can't notice it unless you know what your looking for. All in all I'm satisfied with them. It's an old bike but she looks nice. No one else notices the flaws but I'm sure you will. Don't let it get to you to much.
