Default Big Problem!!!

Well I have been trying to get my bike back on the road for some time now and I decided to clean the carbs one last time before taking it to a shop and letting them find the problem. All was going well then snap...the jet with the removable top, snaps clean off!!! #1 how do I get the broken jet out and #2 does anyone have a factory jet for sell. Or am I just screw and have to buy a new carb stack?

can you get a small easy-out screw extractor in the remaining opening? Couple of bucks for a set w/ a couple diff sizes and you'll use em for other stuff eventually.

Other wise, you might be able to take a dremel-tool w a cutoff wheel on it and cut a groove into the top and use a small flathead to back it out.

I second this idea over the "easy" out option. I find they never come out at all, and when they do it's rarely easy!

Take it to an engineering shop if your not sure.

It would be less of a headache to just get a set of carbs. If your going to go through all the trouble of getting it out by taking it to a machine shop, might as well do a jet kit.

I used a screw extractor and got the broke jet holder out. Got a new one from the honda dealership and now that problem is solved. weirdly enough the dealership was selling jets for $1 a piece so I picked up a set of those too. one less thing to clean in the carbs. Now only if I could find some cheap needles lol.

This happened when me and my bro were rebuilding the carbs on his cb750. I used a drill bit and drilled down the middle of it until it was just a shell. Then I just picked the shell out with a pointy tool.

Glad to hear it was an easy cheap fix!
