If your voltage regulator was shot, everytime you rev the motor you would blow the headlight bulbs and tail light bulbs.

are you sure? my low beam already doesnt work, i have to use high beams,

the othe rpossibility i was thinking is that i have a weak generator. I cant find any more wires, the fusesare good and i dont think the grounds would go out all of a sudden.

you have a three phase generator on it. to test this find the three yellow wires on the voltage regulator and with a multimeter set on AC curent. probe the wires into the harness by testing the current between the three wires. it should read the same on all three tests, if the voltage is different the stator is bad. you can also check the regulator at the same site. start the bike and with the engine running disconnect the battery. Check the output voltage of the regulator at different engine speeds, anything 15v and above indicates a bad regulator. Keep in mind that the bike doesn't start charging untill around 3000rpm. Hope this helps.

Hey:

Chk all the wires physically for nicks or rubs on the pos+ side to make sure they are not touching the frame or other metal anywhere as that could be part if not all of your problems
