The GSXR R/R is a nice unit because it's cheap on eBay (bought mine for like $15 plus shipping) and they have large cooling fins. The OE Honda units don't have cooling fins and get really hot. My leg gets really hot from the R/R while riding.

Never heard of that battery before. I bought a Yuasa from some on line battery place in CA that I found on Google. Communication sucked and it took a bit longer than I wanted, but it works great. Paid $50 for mine. While I was waiting (thought I'd lost my money and had started claim process with bank) I bought a new battery locally from a supplier for $30 which was the same as the parts store wanted $60 for. The afternoon I was going to crack open the liquid and fill the second one, the Yuasa showed up. So I have an extra sitting right now in my storage unit. I was told since I never added the liquid I could keep it as long as I wanted and it would not go bad. (sweet)

Anyway, there are a lot of good deals out there as long as you know where to look. Industrial suppliers who sell to other places or who sell truck batteries are often good places as they have branched out to make extra money.

Check your voltage regulator, I had charging problems on mine..and i replaced the battary and checked the startor and everything and it would charge all the way up...but then while riding it would die....turns out the plastic connector to the voltage regulator looked like a torched marshmellow...so i just got some of those little connectors from autozone and it solved it.

If you do a search for "GSXR regulator" you'll see some information.

I think from 00 up through maybe 05 or 06 could work from the 600,750, and 1000. The trick is getting the one that is 5 wire and a single plug. Some of the newer models have I think a 7 wire or 9 wire and they have two plug ends. Most of the people on eBay post decent pictures that you can see how many wires and what color they are.
