I was wondering if anyone has ever installed and tested this that can confirm the results described by the manufacturer, or if someone feels like being a guinea pig haha.

 

Haven't used them specifically. Most important aspect would be warranty / return policy. If you buy factory, you pay more. I bought an aftermarket regulator as it had a warranty and the factory one did not. Higher output would help when running high beams a lot, extra lighting, or if you wanted to run an accessory like a heated vest.

 

That's what my guess was, but I just wanted to see if anyone could confirm my thoughts. Thanks for the info. I might have to pick up one of these very soon.

 

Is your output below spec?

 

Im starting to thing it is a bit low. the headlights and instrument lights get a little brighter when i turn the throttle. nothing major but its something on my checklist.
