95 900rr Stator rotor hitting Stator ???PLEASE HELP
Hey there...I am a newbie here...I just picked up a 95 900rr thinking that the stator, stator rotor and cover were damaged on the bike...come to find out after purchasing the 3 items listed above and starting the bike....it turns out that the stator rotor is hitting the stator...not too bad, but enuff to scar both...what are my options here???? If anyone can help that would be greatfuly appreciated.....Thanks
It probably has the wrong year stator or stator cover on it. I almost possitive that 92'- 95' are different then the 96'- 99' models. I think the stators on the older models are deeper. Just my two cents.
Actually...I believe that the shaft that comes out of the crank is bent...actually I am wondering if there is a way to fix it besides ripping the case apart...I think that even if it stopped hitting but the rotor was still bent it could throw off my crank and possibly damage the crank and/or main bearing...not sure but could use some advice or helpful hints...
