I had the mechanic install a cheap rectifier from china and it's 10 times better than stock. Dissipates heat much better and charges just as well because of the new design. You can buy a new plug from ebay that has several inches of fresh wiring already attached.
Good to know. I think I'm just going to use spade connectors and wire it up. I had already bought a R/R from China so I just need to get to actually wiring it.

Isn't that the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? Seems that there is something else wrong, or obstructing the flow of coolant around the engine.

There's just so much 'wrong' packed into that one sentence.

And I'm betting we never hear from him again.

Well, I take exception to that statement. Mine was only an observation of the dealer that keeps replacing the same part, expecting different results.

So, what kind of troubleshooting have you done? Is the Cooling Fan turning on after the engine warms up? Is coolant flowing through the radiator?

I think I triggered him. Wasn't really my intent, but my post was a bit snarky.

well no leaks, fan turning when only in contact, coolant boiling, I can't trace the coolant circulation however dealer will replace a sensor that might fix the issue, will see in a day or 2. Thanks.
