94 Internals into older F2 forks
Is this possible? I have a set of cartridges from a 94 but the forks are rusted up a bit. Can I just buy new tubes from an older year? (please say yes)
Also, I'm new to this forks thing. I'm swapping out my stock hawk nt650 front ends with the f2s.
Will I need a new master cylinder? I'm also thinking of just using 1 rotor/caliber to save unsprung weight, good idea? (the hawk only has 1)

going to 1 rotor on a bike originally designed with two is THE DUMBEST idea ever in the history of dumb ideas. not saying you're dumb, but that its a bad idea. the F2's brakes arent exactly on par with modern SS brakes by comparison, and 2 rotors will substantially reduce the time and effort to slow you down(which if you're racing the bike, you'll appreciate)
Think of it this way, if you were on a track, and had one rotor, trying to slow from 120 to turn, but couldnt do so in time, and instead ran off the track, would you put that second rotor back on?

Well, I'm putting the front end into a NT650 hawk which originally only has 1 rotor. I know racers who use only 1 rotor on this bike and do fine.
will the 94 internals fit into another f2's forks though? I already have the internals and want to put it in a f2 fork to keep my speedo drive.

My question is why you would only use 1 when you can easily have 2 discs?
If you're using the whole front end from an F2, everything is there for both brakes... You wont feel any difference in rotating mass from one rotor but you'll feel a massive increase in braking, like oh lets say... DOUBLE!
I have no idea about the internals though...
