RE: 2002 gauge on a F2??
I have F4i gauges on my F2. You can make it work using all Honda parts too! You need the speed sensor and front sprocket cover from a '95 900rr and obviously the F4i gauges. You'll also need wiring diagrams from both F2 and F4i, and a SpeedoHealer with the extended calibration range.
All you have to do is remove the old gauge cluster along with the mechanical sensor at the front wheel. Remove the F2 front sprocket cover. Then, install the 900rr speed sensor over the front sprocket retaining nut (14mm) and install the 900rr cover over that. The 900rr cover is thicker than the F2, so you'll need longer bolts (I got some at ACE Hardware).
Now, you need to re-wire the F4i cluster into the F2 harness. This takes cutting, splicing/soldering, and knowing how to read a wiring diagram. You can make everything work except for the FI light and the fuel indicator. Somewhere along the way, don't forget to hook up your speedo calibrator in line between the speed sensor and the gauges.
VOILA! This is a very broad description of how to do it, but it should be enough to get started in the right direction.
