Will a 2002 cbr 600 gauge work on a 93 600f2? Can it be made to fit? (Don't really care about odometer, just interested in speedometer, tachometer)

 

The speedo won't work. 93 F2 has a mechanical speedo. 2002 F2 has an electronic one.

 

And there's no way to convert the 93 to electrical? Someone must've tried...?

 

I would like to know this as well, i have been thinking of making the f4i gauge purchase but not sure if there is a way to work it.

 

Use an F3 engine?

 

theres a "thing" that i`ve seen that you plug your speedo cable in and it converts its electronically to the digital dashso you can covert amechanical speedo to electronic speedo search the net for this part and it may help you its out there i`ve seen it but cant remember what site of forum it was on....

 

another way to convert is to change the dash to a veypor or acewell or some other type of dash its an aftermarket digital dash cost around $100 to $300 *depends on models* and it works great. Easy install/good looks/ and its easy to fiton any bike .

I have an Acewell 3100 and its great once you set it up

tach runs off the spark plug wire
speedo runs off a magnet setup on the back tire
and it has odo./lap time / time/ 2 x trip counters

diff models **
have blinkers /gas indicator/ oil light /neutral light
