I've done lots of digging but still aren't confident that I have all the information. The story is I've bought a 1994 F2 with a blown motor. I found a 1997 engine near me but am not sure if it will be a direct swap. What I've learned is they have different carbs, F3 has a fuel pump, ram air and carb cooling. I'm hoping if I use the carbs and electronics from the F2 would the F3 motor work properly. I'd use the waterpump cover from the F2 and apparently there's a line from the case I'd have to block. If I did that would the swap work? Otherwise I found a 93 engine further away...but I'm not as confident in its condition

 

Does anyone know the thread for the joint hose that comes from the bottom of a f3 thermostat casing. I'm doing a f3 swap in my f2 and don't need this line as it goes to the f3 carbs. I just want to plug it

 

i have an f2 with a full f3 engine and wiring harness with the carbs. seems like with the f3 carbs you have to pull this thing off the bottom to service them…tps hits the frame
