speedo could be a lot of things - our bikes speedos are mechanical, and are run by a cable attached to the front hub.
If the cable is there, unscrew it from the front hub, and notice there's a little slot in there that should turn the cable. Roll the bike a foot or 2 and see if that slot rotated. If it does, the gears in the hub drive are probably ok. If not, Pull the front wheel and rebuild the hub drive. (It's not a bad maintenance to do every couple of years anyway just to know there's good grease in there.)
The cable runs up to the back side of the cluster, where the housing screws in. You should be able to actually pull the inner cable out of the housing with it still screwed into the cluster. Check the end of the cable - it should be square, IIRC. If the inner cable looks good and rotates freely int he housing, you might have a speedo issue, or it might be unscrewed from behind the cluster.
The first thing I do with my GoPro once it comes in is make a couple of basic maintenance videos for us to reference for the common questions like this.

Welcome, Knight (I'm calling you "Knight" - I'm not typing all that!) There's lots of help to be had here, and lots of threads to view, where people have performed maintenance, made performance improvements, or big changes, like converting to newer model fairings, etc.
Like already mentioned, use the search function, I'm not saying we won't, and don't like to answer questions, but I'm saying that YOU will benefit more, from doing a search first. The "Search this forum" function, at the upper right of each forum/subforum, is great. Some guys join up, and any question they have, I mean anything, they post a thread on it, when the search function would have not only probably answered their question, it would usually give several threads on their subject, to look at, so they can get a "different take" on the same thing, if that makes any since.
Anyway, welcome, and also like was already mentioned, get some pics up!

Load your pics to Photobucket or any other photo website then post the links here using the function to load any pics. It will be a while before you get clearance and this option is faster.
