1994 Cbr600F2 good buy or not?
Hey guys,
Im currently looking at a 1994 CBR600F2 to purchase for my first honda. It needs a voltage regulator, and the right side fairing where the mirror connects is cracked. Also, the right mirror has a small piece missing, but nothing major. The bike has 32000 miles, and the rest of the fairings dont look too bad, maybe need some repainting, but I can do that, it would be a fun project for me. It has a two brothers racing exhaust, although the current owner decided to take the baffles out, so its pretty loud, but thats not a problem in RI for inspection purposes. I can get it for 900 right now, and It seems like a good project bike that wont need that much work.
What does everyone think?
Also, for the voltage regulator ive been looking on this forum and am planning on using the GSXR mod for the regulator.

yep - clear title? $900 not a bad deal for a fixer-upper. Shortly there will be others on here stating they can buy clean title F2's all day long wherever they are for $300-500 but they never seem to ever be able to list where they are, or how they are finding them.
Check the tires/chain/sprockets, plan on replacing all of the fluids (just a good idea on any used bike).

sounds like a winner to me. I paid 1K for my 92 w/ similar miles, fairing rash and needing tires and chain/sprockets and a lot of TLC. Was a fun summer project, and saved my *** the week after I got it fully street-legal when the rear end in my truck blew up. Now with $4-$5 dollar gas being talked about again by this summer/fall, it's nice to have something that makes 40+ mpg, and is a blast to ride, in the garage.
