Doubt it...no, I know it. Given equal riders the hp/weight ratio is much higher on a liter bike. Whatever mods you do to an F2, you would be lucky to touch 100hp at the wheel...a 1000RR is about 155hp stock. So yes, I do not see an F2 keeping up with a GSX-R 1000, and R1, or a 1000RR. I have tried with guys I ride with...the 1000RR and Ducati 1098 leave me after every turn...
Thats funny I squeezed 105hp at the rear tire and given the mechanical advantage the sprocket change has given me, it does keep up with 1 liter bikes. I never said it was faster or would out run them.

That's metric HP. you know, only .68hp per 1 US hp.

100 at the crank is almost impossible without some sort of turbo or nitrous. Gearing doesn't make HP, the engine does. The gearing only makes the engine rev easier.

maybe you need to specify what you mean by "hang" with liter bikes. [sm=WTFsgign.gif]

2mil over pistons, port and polished and flow balanced head, 5 angle valve job, degreed cams, manual cam chain tensioner, open air cleaner, full akrapovic high mount exhaust, re-jetted and dyno tuned carbs,
Other mods include F3 rear wheel, fox rear racing shock, race prep front forks, ebc hh brake pads, ss front brake lines, Dunlop 208 stars dot race tires, 1996 F3 plastics.

I am fully aware that changing the gearing does not increase hp, in fact itmechanically enhances the engines torque.

To "hang" means to keep up, not out run.

Take my word for it, or come on down and ride it for yourself, you will not be disapointed.

My engine builder says that the best combination is to run a F3 bottom end with a F2 head. You should be able to get about 112hp out of it. Slide carbs will also do wonders for waking up a 600.
