sprockets and wheelies
So, if I lost a tooth in front and added two in back on my f-2, (which I would consider pretty well tuned) would it be able to pull the front wheel up on motor alone? (at high rpm's, of course) What sprockets and chain do you recommend (brands as well as sizes). I pretty much just tool around on the bike once a week or so for a few hours. In fact, in my five years riding on two bikes, I probably have riden 5,000 miles tops. I wish that weren't the case, but what can you do? Kill the wife? Wait.......that's not such a bad idea.........................................

i went down 1 in the front and up 2 in the back and its really fun I `m not a wheelie expert but it sure makes things easier to pull upin 1 (havent tried 2ndyet) and
wheelies aside the bike has some really nice pulling power/throttle responce in 1,2,3,4 gear

Going down 1 in the front and going up 2 in the back is what im going to do. I have went down in first alone, and clan easily clutch it, and get it up in 2nd. So I would say with the =2 in the back it will be really easy.. And you should be able to just roll on the throttle and bring the front up in second with that combo.
Actually, I wasn't very clear. My intention is not to be able to pull the front end up easily. I am looking for the best acceleration I can hope for with a gearing change while avoiding flipping the bike at full throttle. If front end comes up at right before upshifts, so be it, but It's accelation I'm after, not stunts (not yet, at least).
Well that will all vary with riders. Mine right now has -1 in front. And right before I shft the front end starts coming up, and if I shift hard depending on how im sitting it can come right up.
I didn't see this question answered before so does 1 tooth down in the front and 2 up in the rear allow you to bring the front end up only useing the motor at high rpms? I want to be able to do wheelies but this bike is also my daily driver, not a stunt bike.
In second the -1/+2 my friends 93 cbr 600 will pull a wheely in 2nd with just throttle around 8k. Mine with -1/stock will pull up in first then I can knock it in second, otherwise I clutch it in second to bring it up and ride through 3rd. And mines a daily driver..
i am considering the same. i have a 94 cbr 600 f2 and i have to replace the chain and sprockets so i was thinking about going down (- 1) one in the front and up (+10) ten in the back with a 525 chain. i would love to hear any thoughts on this.

So, If i want it to pull hard (at full throttle) but not bring the font end up, (that is, not to the point of backflip) I should just go down 1 in front and replace the rear with the stock size? What about chain size and brands? I'm thinking about a 520 or 525
