The center stand was optional.

 

yup i figured that, my hurricane has the brackets for the stand hanging down but my parts bike frame didnt have any brackets for the stand.

 

Did someone grind the brackets off? All four of mine have them, one has the center stand.

 

i didnt look that closely, i just saw there wasnt the 2 round holes that hung down like mine had so i thought if the stand wasnt ordered from the factory it wouldnt have the brackets. Maybe the po cut them off since it looked like it was a trackbike, all the bolts had been drilled and wired.

 

total stripdown have to get dreaded crack in frame welded.

 

Got bored and decided to make a phone/gps mount.


I used a scosche car phone mount and took the back plate off and put a bolt through it and bolted it to a metal bracket i had that came with a motion light. It was just a straight piece of metal that bolts to an electrical conduit to mount the light. The other side of the bracket i bent at an angle and mounted to the hole on the triple clamp to the left of the ignition switch. Not sure what mounted there originally but it was empty on my bike. I know it blocks the last 1/3 of the speedo but that doesnt bother me since my speedo seems to be innacurate anyways so im planning on using my phone for the speedo and gps if i need it.

Filled it with fresh gas and rode. Ahhhh. Honda built a damned fine machine.

 

Little more gas run through, this time with a little carb cleaner in the mix... That little stumble it had around 7000rpm seems to be clearing up.

 

today? I just took pictures, cleaned a little, and played with the inspection windows. beyond that? absolutely NOTHING got done.
