Looks to me like you bought an exhaust set for a 1000, that'd be why theres 2 cans.

Bought hurricane number four as a basket case. Brought it home and started assembling it. Installed new rear brake pads, old rear wheel, one fork that it came with and one from the parts stash, front wheel, engine, and exhaust also from the stash. Mounted the front fairing stay, instrument cluster, bars and choke cable. Connected the fuel pump and a few other little tasks. It is starting to resemble a motorcycle. Long day and a long post. Cheers.

Default A few new things...

New mirrors...
new levers...
little bit of paint on the engine cover... (just trying it out)
a couple led blinkers by the headlight...

Amazon.com: 87 88 89 Hurricane CBR600F CBR 600 CBR600 Black Levers: Automotive

I love my new levers. Adjustable brake lever and pretty inexpensive.
Here's a link if you're looking for some new ones yourself.

Found out some more info about the engine i got off craigslist. judging by the large pool of sludge and separated oil i had to clean out of it, the previous owner hasn't used it in quite some time.

Havent done anything to the f1 today but I did sell my car that was taking up the space in my garage that I need to start working on it! Bought the bike in the fall of last year and without the space it just continued to sit. I am soooo f'ing excited to get going.

Picked up an adjustable brake lever and regular clutch lever set labeled for 91 to 94 F2. It is identical in fit and function to the Hurricane. I got three sets in a box of misc parts for $20 from Kijiji.
