RE: valve question
ORIGINAL: Detroit Cane
I'm not raggin on you dude, just sayin, valves have to be adjusted to the tightest spec so you have room for them to loosen on there own over time and prevent this type of damage from happenig so soon. you usually don't see this much carbon buildup until 20-30,000 miles.

RE: valve question
yeah definitly replace the gasket. As soon as you take the heads off its trash, I know it sounds rediculous and Yes I am mad that its true cause I'm cheap as hell but, its true. I know a guy I went to mechanic school with that was too cheap to buy a new head gasket and damn near blew his motor.

RE: valve question
Thats just it. I'm tired of constantly HAVING to fix it. I'm looking at an F3 that has lower miles, and I know the owner, but I have to sell the cane first, which doesnt bother me one bit if I can upgrade to a more potent machine and not have such a hard time finding parts for it. I know I've always loved the hurricane, but frankly, its just too much work to keep fixing it when I neeed to be working instead, and I need to just have a vehicle I can ride without issues.
