Valve adjustment woes
Decided to adjust valves last night. It has been about 20 years since I've done an adjustment on a Hurricane, so I decided to make the job easier and picked up a set of Motion Pro tappet adjusters...didn't help, they are useless on the Hurricane as the tool is too short to turn the lock nuts.
Anyway, it was going well with standard hand tools and I had 11 or twelve valves done and was breaking loose the lock nut on one of the #2 cylinder exhaust valves and the whole freakin' rocker arm came out. So, I went inside, took a shower and said screw it until morning.
So today I get to pull the exhoust cam and see if I can get it back together or if I need to replace the holder spring
Has anyone else had this happen?
