Default Two New Bikes

I bought a couple of motorcycles over the past week. They are not CBR's but thought I would post them for you guys to see.

The first one is a minor project bike. It's a 2006 Honda Shadow Aero. The bike was taken down and it needs some TLC although it is in excellent shape with 10,000 miles. Very clean bike and runs great. I paid $2900 US for it. I have all the parts coming. It needs a tank, clutch perch and mirrors.

The second bike is a 1998 Kawasaki Vulcan 800. It has 8000 miles on it and needs nothing. Paid $2200 US for it. Don't have it home yet so these are pictures from previous owner.

I decided the CBR wasn't going to be ready in time so these will be my riders this summer. I am still plugging away on the CBR...just got the itch to have something to ride.

Let me know what you guys think.

Well you know the story on the CBR. I was originally going to use the engine for another project. I decided to fix it instead after I started it up and it ran so good. Hated to gut it. The problem with that bike is it isn't really practical and I am really a road bike guy.

I wanted something to ride around here in Wisc and found the Shadow. It was hard to turn down once I looked at it, because I can fix it pretty cheap and it's worth a lot more than I paid. When I pulled in the driveway my girlfriend comes running out and says "That's mine!" Then she tells me I can ride on the back. Wow!

So I decided to find something else for me and that's where the Vulcan comes in. Once I found that she decided she liked that one better and traded me the Honda back. It worked out because I really wanted the Honda. Now we will ride together this summer :-)

Pretty cool to have a woman that wants to ride with you...never had that before.

That shadow is low and sexy! As for the Vulcan...it is screaming "I wanna be a bobber when I grow up"!! Great bikes

Thanks guys. I'm pretty excited to have a couple riders since I haven't ridden for 20 years.

I really like the Honda. It's a nice bike and sounds awesome...can't wait to get it on the road. We had 12" of snow yesterday and when I finished plowing with my ATV I parked it next to the Aero and looked over at it and wondered if winter would ever end

Two very nice looking bikes, awesome to have a chick that wants to ride, not just backseat, too.
