Throttle cables
Hello I'm new to bike work. Been in the automotive industry for my whole life. So I know my way around a wrench. Just new to bikes. Anyway. I have a 1995 honda cbr 600 f3 and I broke my throttle cable (push) so I bought both new ones. Went to replace them. **side note** I have carb off of bike. Got cables off and new ones routed. I can get the inner cables to connect on both sides but when both inner cables are connected the outer cables will not fit into the housing on the carb end. And I can't for the life of me get it to reach. I have taken them off and tried every combination to get them to connect and they just dont seem to have the length. Im sure it's something simple that im missing but... I need some advice. Thanks in advance guys. And have an awesome day 🫶
sometimes I focus so hard on one end of a problem that the other end becomes invisible. Is the adjuster near the throttle still wound out? Is the cable fit into the throttle correct and smooth?
Likely you are looking at both ends, with the experienc you have, so a long-shot suggestion.
Also on my 89, you have to pass the inner cable through to its 'cable end lug-housing' but threaded the right path, else you can slip the housing easily into its seat.
