need some help guys
i have a 89 cbr 600f and i recently blew a headgasket. i have a buddy with a 96 cbr 1000 and i was told that his motor would bolt right in my frame. is this true?? and if so what else would i need? besides the harness and the exhaust? thanks
its highly unlikely that his engine will bolt into your frame. Considering there arn't even any other 600 model years that will. You'd be better off just replacing your head gasket, its easier. Download yourself a copy of the haynes manual.

well my head is garbage got news from the machine shop today. so just replacing a head gasket is no longer an option i need a head. and from honda they r more than i paid for the bike. unless anyone has a head they wanna sell?!?! i measured the motor mount holes and they r pretty damn close so i think it might fit
its not just a matter of mounting holes, its also a matter of re-wiring as well as the angle the engine sits at. Regardless, whats wrong with your head? You could geta head off of ebay for fairly decent prices, I got a spare one for 50 plus shipping. I think in the end it cost me 80.
