Hello i have a question on a 1989 honda cbr 600. The key say push to lock when i do that push down and turn backwards one click just the taillight and licsence plate light comes on i can still take the key out and its locked but the light stays on hmmm? turn back more and it clicks light goes off and can take out and the steering is lock without light on.. Just wondering what this means, its a weird question but i just wanna know the right answer so i know thanks...

 

Its supposed to do that. I found out the hard way (dead battery 120 miles away). Its a parking light.

 

have done that twice on my cbr6, last time i had to bump it on my own on an icy road by my work so i've learned to check it every time now
