Default F2 fairings on F1...can it be done easily??

Hey guys not sure if I should post this here or in the 600 mod section but I have an 88 hurricane and I really don't like the way they look with the stock fairings. I was checking out some pics of an F2 and I love the way they look. Has anybody done this? I've seen a lot of 600rr mods but I think the rear tire is waaaay too narrow for that conversion and I don't wanna mess with a new swing arm and all that. So anyways has anybody ever put F2 fairings on an F1? And if so how much fabrication had to be done? I currently have no plastics at all. Thanks in advance for any help.

You can put on any year fairings, but it will involve a lot of fabrication on your part. One person put on 600RR fairings. Have not heard of anyone doing F2 fairings.

I have an F2 and a Hurricane now. The platics do not appear to bolt right up. They do appear like they could mount with some modification however.

Personally: I bet you could sell a naked Hurricane and the F2 plastics for enough money to get an actual F2... which is better than a beat up hurricane that was ghetto rigged into looking like an F2!

Time and patience is needed. but if you are thinking of using f2 fairings hoping that they are the closest match then you might as well look for any year fairings that you like. i have 2004 1000rr fairings on my 87 and they took me 8 hours to get them on and another week to get them perfect. but it was well worth it. my only advice is stay away from some of these new fairing sets that are 16+ pieces. Go for fairings that have an upper fairing two side fairings and a single tail fairing.
