Default Rim Strips fall easily?

Hey guys, i just bought some rim strips from tapeworks. I know there not hard to install but did anyone else get strips from them. Was curious if they come with enough for if i mess up will i use it all up?, and do these get rubbed off if i wash my rims?
Thx in advance 8)

not sure how much tapworks gives you, but most if not all rim stripes should not be easy to "wash off" so no

Good to hear, good to hear. Well i am also gonna be getting my tires changed too. Should i wait to put the strips on till after that or it wont really matter. Going to the dealership if that makes any difference.

It shouldn't matter if you wait or not, but I'd wait just in case the dealership's careless... Also, make sure you clean the wheels good before you put it on. slap some alcohol on there to clean off as much dirt as possible.

There are a bunch good chain cleaning products out there you could probably use one of them, then clean again with soap n water before you adhere them

do not get kerosene on your tires, its not good for them. i assume you mean cleaning your rims right? go buy some simple green and a brush and just do some scrubbing. once its dry wipe it down with alcohol along where the rimstripes are going. ive had my tires replaced a few times with my rimstripes on, no issues with them getting messed up.

DO NOT use kerosene, gasoline, or any similar corrosive liquid to clean chains. It may clean them well, but it'll also degrade the o-rings, making a chain break far more likely.

I've been cleaning my chain with diesel fuel and I've had no issues. You can even use wd40 to get gunk off.

Just use the proper chain cleaning products instead of gas or wd40, the right stuff isnt that much more expensive. Like $8 a bottle.
