i posted this already in the general tech but no one helped me so im puttin it here. i just bought a 89 cbr 600f and im sure like many of your own bikes the controls are faded real bad. i saw that the two controls are 60 and 70 dollars. i was wondering if anyone has tried painting them or did you just replace them?? thanks ken

 

I think most just surf ebay for a better looking set, but then again, it's easy to make them look good for pictures with some cleaning and WD40.

What's the worse that could happen if you try to paint them? The paint may rub off when you use them? Maybe a good quality rattle can of flat black primer.

 

thanks for the reply man thats what i was thinkin..hit them with a rattle can if i try it and no one has said they have done it ill make a little diy for it

 

imam going to repaint mine and have vinal letters made up to finish the look
