Default charging issue

alright, so i have replaced the stator and the bike has a brand new battery, but for some reason after riding today its only got 9 v in the battery even while its running. so i'm guessing its not charging right. tomorrow i'm going to check for a bad connection, but i was lookin for any experiences as to what might be going wrong? any input would be greatly appreciated

Regulator/rectifier is a known problem on these bikes. I would have checked this first before anything else. Either it is the R/R or the connector(s). It is located under the gas tank.

i was comin into a curve goin way too fast started goin wide so i paniced and prbly stood it up some, hit the curb on a street corner and landed in the grass beside the sidewalk tucked into a ball and rolled to the first drive way, about 100 ft from the curb to where i stopped. all i did was fracture a bone in my left hand and pull hella muscles in my back

Well, at least you're in somewhat good shape, and can still type! How did the bike turn out? Any pics?
