beginner, where do i put the rpm gauge wire
hi everyone i just bought a 87 cbr. i don't know much about bikes but i guess having about 12k on the bike wasn't so bad so i decided to buy it. it was really cheap but it came to me as a rat bike and the speedometer seems to work but the rpm gauge doesn't, i noticed a wire goin from speedometer to the left side of my front wheel, but there is no wire comming down from the rpm gauge. so i am guessing that i need a wire for the rpm gauge but more importantly i don't know where to hook it up if i had that wire, so if anyone knows where to get that wire and where to hook it up please let me know
you should download the online manual for the bike and then you can solve your current problem and all your future problems by yourself and feel great knowing that you learned about your bike
This might help.

It's for the 89-90 model but should be close.

rpm is electronic and if you can read the wiring schematic its here:
