Default axle diameter?

can someone tell me the diameter of our bike's rear axle in mm? I have an idea for a rear wheel swap that has been done on another bike, and may well bolt right up to our Hurricanes allowing a 160 rear tire with a different brake caliper and bracket installed.

If it will bolt up, I'll post up details and possibly begin offering a conversion kit to help you guys get wider rear wheels without changing to a bigger swingarm.

17mm, maybe plus or minus some very small amounts for clearance/manufacturing tolerance.

Awesome. thanks. I was looking at an idea that the Suzuki GS500 crowd uses with a newer Katana 600/750 rear rim, which is a 4.5" rim and from what I'm seeing it looks as though it will bolt right up no problem. the caliper bracket and katana caliper appear to be a necessary part along with spacers, but I'm fairly sure with the appropriate measurements you could have spacers fabbed up.
