Default New to the fold!

Just saying hi!

I just bought a 97 XX with 22,000 miles on it from a 72 year old gentleman. I've wanted a Blackbird for many years since I first saw the one my friend owns. I had a 2001 CBR929RR for a short time, but decided to find the XX which is what I wanted in the first place. Anyway, I haven't realy gotten to ride it yet, other than the test ride because I took it straight to the shop to have the shock seals replaced. I'm looking forward to getting some miles on it, and getting to know some of you in the process!

Just as a point of interest, I also ride a 2007 Suzuki M109R.

Welcome - and great choice of bike - mine is a 97 also and only has 25,000 on it.

Where are you located ?

It's generally quiet on here for the blackbird but if you have a look around there are some very active forums covering what many consider the perfect all round bike.

Thanks for the welcome! I have noticed that there isn't a lot of action here! I also have an M109R Suzuki, and that forum is abuzz all the time! Anyway, I'm looking forward to putting some miles on the Blackbird soon! I had to leave it at the shop since the right fork seal was leaking a bit when I bought it, so I haven't yet been able to spend any time with it. Hopefully I'll be picking it up this weekend and putting some miles on it!

I'm in Washington State... how about you?

Welcome, Ezgoin! I have a feeling you're gonna love the 'Bird. Great bikes.

I'm guessing then that we won't be hooking up for any rides together!

But, we can certainly connect through this forum! Looking forward to that!
