RE: vibration
If the engine isn't running right and you don't know if the vibration is coming from the transmision on down to the wheel: I would start with the basics - Good engine, good ignition, good air/fuel and good emissions equipment. Start with a compression check and check for blow by in the crankcase. Check to see if any of the spark plugs are burning different than the rest or if they all are burning with the wrong look (excessive black soot, oily residue, too lean, melted, wornout or just plain broken). Check to see if any of your wiring harness plugs have become unplugged (this would most likely set a code but just double check). Make sure that none of the vacuum lines have popped off because of an intake backfire. There isn't much to a modern engine and if the engine checks out good, there are no codes, it looks like everything is plugged in and there is no metal in your engine oil, then you may want to give it up to someone that can go deeper. I hope I helped a little. I am a hands on mechanic and if you are in Humboldt county I could probably visit.
